SPOILERS IF YOU PLAN ON ONE DAY WATCHING THIS SHOW.
However if you don't care, that's cool too...
Anime series. Just finished it.
... Wow...
No anime has ever left me, so... I dunno...
Emotionally exhausted.
I'm really happy, yet filled with an overwhelming sadness.
I'm at peace with myself, and somehow angry for the way things sometimes have to be in this world.
More than anything... I'm kinda shocked at how very cryptic this anime has made me.
I feel essentially the same, but something in me has been seriously moved.
Anyways, onto the actual show itself.
Well, it starts with this guy, Yukito, who is searching for the girl in the sky, who is always alone.
I can't really say I could tell you much more about it, not only because I wouldn't like to spoil it, but because I really can't even begin to describe the premise of this show. You just have to watch it.
Though I can say, the idea of being such a wonderful girl like Misuzu, so filled with love for the whole world, yet unable to make any friends. Because every time she got close to someone, she would only get sick, and cause pain to the person who loved her. That idea... Its just so horribly heartbreaking.
And she just so damn hard to not fall in love with.
And for that matter, ALL of the characters make it difficult to avoid loving them. The writers mastered making you care for characters like no other lemme tell you. From episode one, I was attached to every character. But, maybe I'm too softhearted. ^_^;;
This anime is magical. Its only 15 episodes long and yet I feel as though its so much longer.
I think Yukito said it best when he said that the summer (or the anime's duration for me).
"Seemed as short as the twinkling of a star, yet as long as all eternity."
Should you watch this with friends?
No. I wouldn't suggest it. I watched the first half with friends and it was great, but I think its easier to really get into it alone.
If you want to watch some of it with a friend, I suggest maybe the first five episodes. And from there, go your separate ways through seeing it.
Once I started to watch it alone, that's when I really got emotional. I sobbed.
Literally, sobbed
The tears wouldn't stop, and I cried until the very end of the show.
Watch Air if you haven't already... Just... Just do it.
